Are Gay Sites safe?

There are two parts to this question: 1) are gay sites safe to enter my credit card details on? and 2) are gay sites legal?

1) Are gay sites safe to enter my credit card details on?
All of the major adult publishing websites are run by major corporations as big and sometimes bigger than well known magazine publishers such as Playboy. They have to operate within very strict rules and guidelines set down by credit card companies such as VISA. When a visitor enters their credit card details on an adult website those details are passed straight to the banking system - the owners of the websites never even see them, they just get told whether the transaction was authorised or not. The same is not true of many traditional e-commerce sites - many keep your credit card details on file, representing a potential security risk... in this way entering your credit card details on an adult site is safer than entering them on a traditional e-commerce site.
However...
As with everthing there are some low lifes who will try anything to get your cash. So here are some tips to help you make sure the site you choose is safe: -
a) Pick a site reviewed by Whatgaysite.com - all the sites we review are excellent, legal, safe sites, we even put our money where our mouth is by joining the sites with our credit cards as part of our review!
b) Look for the USC 2257 Notice on the bottom of the websites front page - this notice tells you that the site complies with the relevant law. It will look something like this:

2) Are gay sites legal?
Whether a gay site is legal depends on the laws of the country it is being viewed in, but in general gay sites are legal as long as all the models featured are 18 years old or over. Here are some tips to help you decided if the site you choose is legal: -

b) Look for links to Internet Safety Organisations - Responsible adult webmasters put links to organisations that protect children from viewing adult content on the bottom of their pages, these links will look like this...

c) Look for a notice letting you know that all models within the site are 18 or over, it could just simply be a line of text near the bottom of the page like this...
